ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has scheduled a hearing on the Punjab local government elections case.
The Punjab chief secretary and the Punjab Local Government secretary have been summoned in person on Feb 26.
The notice stated that multiple opportunities were given for legislation on Punjab's local government elections, but no response was received from the Punjab government.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan's notice, the tenure of Punjab’s local government institutions ended on December 31, 2021.
