KARACHI (Dunya News) - Two new e-passport printers arrived in Karachi, along with six desktop printers imported from Germany, for Pakistani citizens seeking e-passports.
According to sources, Director General Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi traveled to Germany for the inspection and delivery of the new printers.
During his visit, he also held meetings with technical experts to ensure the smooth integration of the new equipment.
DG Passports stated that the newly acquired printers can print up to 1,000 passports per hour, significantly enhancing the country's overall e-passport processing capacity.
Furthermore, Qazi stressed that once the desktop printers become fully operational, the efficiency of passport issuance will improve, ensuring faster service for applicants nationwide.
