Minimum amount for Fitrana set at Rs240
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Religious scholar and former chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneebur Rehman has announced that the minimum amount for Sadaqa-e-Fitr (Fitrana) and Fidya this year is Rs240 per person.
In a statement, Mufti Muneeb urged affluent individuals to pay Fitrana, Fidya, and Kaffara according to their financial capacity.
He explained that the Fidya for fasting is Rs240 based on wheat, Rs700 based on barley, Rs4,000 based on high-quality dates, and Rs6,400 based on premium raisins.
Additionally, he stated that the Kaffara (compensation for breaking a fast) requires feeding 60 needy individuals with two meals each.
