PM Shehbaz takes notice of gas loadshedding during Ramazan

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notices of complaints regarding gas loadshedding during Sehar and Iftar timings.
Expressing resentment over the loadshedding, the premier has sought a report from the petroleum division. He said gas should be provided uninterruptedly to masses during Sehar and Iftar timings.
The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), in a statement, said the supply of gas during these periods will be ensured.
It has asked people to contact SNGPL team by dialing 1139 if they are facing low pressure or any other issue.
Separately, PM Shehbaz Sharif has directed the federal and provincial governments to ensure provision of food items to common man at affordable rates during Ramazan.
He was chairing a meeting in Lahore on Sunday regarding the sugar supply and price control in the country.
The prime minister directed the authorities concerned to devise strategy for provision of food items at affordable rates.
He emphasised strict action against smuggling and hoarding of sugar.
He said government's crackdown on sugar smuggling during the past few months helped combat it successfully.
