ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A militant killed by Pakistani forces in a recent operation has been identified as a commander of Afghan military as infiltration from the neighbouring country continues.

Security sources said Afghanistan has become a safe haven for terrorists and being used for terror activities in Pakistan.

On Feb 28, the Pakistani forces killed 14 terrorists in an operation conducted in Ghulam khan Kalay area. One of the killed terrorists has been identified as Mujeeb-ur-Rehman alias Mansoor son of Mirza Khan, who is an Afghan national.

Sources said Mujeebur Rehman was a resident of Dandargaon, Chak District, Maidan Wardak province, adding that he was also a commander of the third battalion at Afghanistan’s National Military Academy.

On January 30, 2025, the son of Afghan Deputy Governor of Badghis, Mullah Ghulam Mohammad, named Badaruddin alias Yusuf, was killed in an operation by security forces in Kalachi, Dera Ismail Khan, along with three terrorists. He was killed alongside militants of the Khawarij faction (FAK).

The death of Yusuf with TTP militants proves that Afghanistan is openly supporting terrorism in Pakistan.

The presence of modern weapons in the possession of “Fitna Al-Khawarij” terrorists is a clear evidence of the nexus between the afghan Taliban and terrorists.

Defense experts said the interim afghan government officials facilitated the militants for terrorists attacks in Pakistan.

They said the Afghan interim government should focus on the welfare of the Afghan people instead of getting involved in terrorism in Pakistan.
