ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday assured the high-powered delegation of PPP to address its grievances related to the controversial canals and maintaining peace in Kurram district.

The PPP delegation was led by party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

The prime minister had invited the PPP delegation to an Iftar dinner at PM House to address the grievances of key government ally.

“Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured the PPP of resolving their concerns regarding controversial canals, maintaining peace in Kurram district and assisting flood victims in Balochistan,” the press release issued by the PPP said.

Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister praised the PPP leadership for playing an active and dynamic role in fulfilling the aspirations of the people across all four provinces, and working closely with the federal government to improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

The PPP delegation acknowledged the prime minister's leadership and lauded the government's economic policies.

The PPP expressed its gratitude to PM Shehbaz Sharif for consulting the coalition partners, respecting their opinions, and involving them in key decisions.

The PPP delegation reiterated its commitment to supporting the government under the leadership of the prime minister in advancing the nation's economic growth.

The PPP delegation included Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider, KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, Sherry Rehman, Syed Khurshid Shah, Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti and others.

Senior cabinet members including Ishaq Dar, Ahsan Iqbal, Attaullah Tarar, Rana Sanaullah, NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and Khawaja Saad Rafique were also present on the occasion.
