Abbasi said the government was taking steps for the improvement of the railway
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi said on Saturday that enemies of Pakistan wanted to paralyse the defence system of the country.
Speaking to media in Lahore, Abbasi said the government was taking steps for the improvement of the railways, adding that the Railway police's standard would also be raised.
“Jaffar Express incident was worrisome. We will have to see why terrorism is rearing its ugly head again. Israel does propaganda when we make missiles. India is using Afghan soil to spread terror in Pakistan,” he added.
Abbasi lashed out at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for amplifying India’s propaganda against Pakistan following the tragic train waylay in Balochistan.
“We pay tribute to our armed forces for the successful operation. The scale of the Railway police has been made equal to that of the Punjab police. Jaffar Express martyrs’ families will be provided financial assistance up to Rs5.2 million,” he concluded.
