QUETTA (Dunya News) – The bogies of the Jaffar Express, which was waylaid by the Baloch separatists in Bolan, have been transported to the provincial capital, Quetta after eight days.

Three hand grenades were recovered from the damaged coaches, which have been rendered inoperative.

According to railways officials, the bogies moved to Quetta bear bullet marks, and most of the windows are shattered. The bogies will be repaired and restored to operational condition for travel.

Railways police officials stated that three hand grenades were found in the damaged coaches of the Jaffar Express brought to Quetta, which have been neutralised. The affected bogies of Jaffar Express were relocated to Quetta from Mashkaf area of Kachi.

On March 11, the Baloch separatists attacked the Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express in Bolan, resulting in the killing of several civilians and officials. Following the attack, security forces took action, successfully rescuing the hijacked passengers. Nearly 50 militants were killed in the ensuing operation.
