ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said that India promotes terrorism while Pakistan is actively combating it on all fronts.
Addressing the press conference marking the first anniversary of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, the minister stated that Pakistan gave a strong response to what he termed as baseless allegations by India.
He noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had presented Pakistan’s clear and unequivocal stance on the Pahalgam incident and had offered an independent and impartial investigation.
He said that Pakistan received international support following the offer for an inquiry.
Referring to the prime minister’s address, Tarar highlighted the call to end the blame game, reiterating that Pakistan is fighting terrorism whereas India is fostering it.

The minister further claimed that the roots of terrorism in Pakistan trace back to India, adding that Pakistan stands as a wall against terrorism.
He also alleged that India neither condemns terrorist incidents nor expresses regret over them.
Atta Tarar stated that India uses water as a weapon, while the people and armed forces of Pakistan remain fully prepared to respond to any aggression.
He emphasised that Pakistan maintains a clear policy against terrorism and that the country’s position has emerged prominently before the world.
He added that Pakistan’s defence has grown stronger and claimed that no country is willing to accept India’s narrative.
