PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi on Friday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentarians, detained during election campaign in Gilgit-Baltistan, should be released, adding that such behaviour is creating divisions and hatred.

Sohail Afridi stated that such actions are harming Pakistan and creating divisions and hatred. He said that those who are supposed to protect the public mandate are instead repeatedly stealing the mandate of the people of Pakistan.
The Chief Minister also said that denying a level playing field in elections, along with coercion, oppression, and attempts to sideline the PTI, is destroying the democratic system.
He further claimed that the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan was not answering his calls, calling the attitude undemocratic and unpolitic. He said that they would not allow Gilgit-Baltistan to become a “no-go area.”
