Summary Says PPP will not tolerate any kind of rigging in the elections
MIRPUR (Dunya News) – Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has alleged that the federal ministers are influencing the electoral process in the Azad Kashmir elections.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Sharjeel Memon said Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will not tolerate any kind of rigging in the elections in Azad Kashmir.
He alleged that the Election Commission has deliberately ignored pre-poll rigging.
“An attempt is being made to influence the people by bringing buses to Kashmir a day before the elections, but the people of Kashmir cannot be fooled by these buses worth Rs200 million,” the PPP leader said.
He demanded that the PML-N clarify whether Khawaja Asif's recent statement was party policy or a personal opinion.
The PML-N came to power in Punjab through a 'back door' and the Kashmiri people will also defeat such elements, he alleged.
Sharjeel Memon said Pakistan Peoples Party is the only party that could unite the federation, while the Election Commission in Azad Kashmir has turned a blind eye.
On the other hand, he alleged that federal ministers have set up camps in Kashmir during the election campaign, which is an attempt to influence the electoral process.
