Summary Punjab educational boards announced 2026 matric position holders, with female students dominating top ranks across multiple examination boards.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Various educational boards across Punjab have announced the position holders for the 2026 annual matriculation examinations, with female students securing most of the top positions.
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Multan declared Mehreen Rasool as the overall topper after she secured 1,190 marks. Faiqa Mehboob stood second with 1,188 marks, while Hamna Ibrahim, Khadija Chaudhry and Arsalna Fatima jointly secured the third position with 1,187 marks each.
BISE Bahawalpur announced Abdul Haseeb as the first position holder with 1,186 marks. Muzammal Bilal claimed second place with 1,184 marks, while Javeria Fatima and Iman Fatima Malik jointly secured third position after scoring 1,183 marks.
In Gujranwala, Adina Rashid and Siddiqa Almas shared the first position with 1,190 marks each. Zain Akram secured second position with 1,188 marks, while Muhammad Ahmad finished third with 1,187 marks. Board Chairperson Dr Aqsa said an award ceremony for position holders would be held in Sialkot on Wednesday, where Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat will be the chief guest and the annual matric results will also be formally announced.
BISE Sahiwal reported an overall pass percentage of 65.10pc. According to Board Chairman Faisal Ejaz, 85,343 candidates registered for the examinations, 84,159 appeared and 54,788 were declared successful. Abdullah Nasir and Munsif Bashir jointly secured first position with 1,191 marks, Rabita Ramzan claimed second position with 1,190 marks, while Amina Amir and Muhammad Muneeb Ahmed shared third position with 1,188 marks.
The Faisalabad Board also announced its matric results, where female students secured the top two positions. One student claimed first position with 1,191 marks, while Rameen Fatima secured second place with 1,190 marks. Raif Abdul Ahad stood third after scoring 1,189 marks.
