KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon has criticised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government over the province’s security situation, saying the chief minister should focus on governance rather than political matters related to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder.

Reacting to remarks by KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, Memon said KP was facing terrorism-related challenges and alleged that the chief minister was more focused on pursuing the PTI founder’s political agenda than addressing issues confronting the province.

Memon said Afridi should concentrate on his responsibilities as chief minister instead of acting as a spokesperson for the PTI founder. He added that, since taking oath, Afridi had remained focused on the founder’s “mission.”

The Sindh minister further said the KP chief minister should address the deteriorating security situation rather than blaming others for the province’s problems.

Memon also criticised what he described as the use of the fall of Dhaka for political point-scoring, saying such references were an insult to history, the martyrs and the nation.
