Summary Restrictions to remain in force until November 27
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan has extended its ban on Indian flights using its airspace until November 27, 2026, according to a new notice issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA).
The extension means Indian aircraft will remain barred from Pakistani airspace for another month beyond the previous deadline. The restriction will remain in effect until 5am Pakistan Standard Time on November 27, under the newly issued Notice to Airmen (NOTAM).
The PAA issued the notice on Saturday, informing aviation operators of the extended duration of the airspace closure for Indian flights.
According to the authority’s spokesperson, the revised NOTAM specifies the date and time until which the restrictions will remain in place. Indian flights will not be permitted to use Pakistani airspace during the specified period.
The latest notice formally extends the existing restrictions and provides airlines and aviation operators with an updated deadline for compliance.
The PAA’s announcement did not provide further details about the reasons for the latest extension or indicate whether the restrictions could be reviewed before the new deadline.
The ban affects Indian flights seeking to use Pakistani airspace, requiring affected operators to plan their routes in accordance with the restrictions. The closure will remain in force until the deadline specified in the latest NOTAM, unless a further notice announces a change.
