MANAMA (Dunya News) - Bahrain has strongly condemned what it described as Iranian attacks on its territory, calling them a “blatant violation” of national sovereignty and asserting its right to respond.

In an official statement, Bahraini authorities said the Iranian strikes caused damage to key sites and facilities within the Kingdom.

Security agencies have begun implementing emergency response plans, the statement added, describing the attack as a “cowardly act” and expressing firm condemnation.

Bahrain emphasized that it reserves the full right to take all necessary measures and deliver an appropriate response.

Further details regarding military matters will be released by the relevant authorities in due course, officials said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country faced an aggressive attack today involving Iranian ballistic missiles.

According to the ministry, the UAE’s air defence systems successfully intercepted and destroyed several missiles mid-air.

Authorities reported that debris from intercepted missiles fell in a residential area of the capital, Abu Dhabi, causing some property damage. One Asian national was killed as a result.

Officials stressed that the country’s security situation remains fully under control, with relevant institutions monitoring developments around the clock.

In its statement, the ministry described the attack as a clear violation of national sovereignty and international law, affirming that the UAE retains the full right to respond appropriately to defend its territory, citizens, and interests.

The Ministry of Defence added that the country is on high alert and is taking all necessary measures to address potential threats.

It underscored that the safety of citizens, residents, and tourists remains a top priority.

Authorities have urged the public to rely solely on official sources for information and to avoid spreading rumors or unverified reports.
