(Web Desk) - Direct commercial flights between Iran and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will resume from July 1, following approval from the civil aviation authorities of both countries after months of suspension due to regional security tensions.
Civil Aviation Organisation spokesperson Majid Akhavan said the required permits had been issued, allowing flight operations to restart next week.
According to Akhavan, the route will initially be operated by Iranian airlines, while additional carriers are expected to join once the necessary regulatory reviews and approvals are completed. He added that the reopening of other international air routes remains under consideration and will depend on further approvals by aviation authorities.
