CTD arrests 20 alleged terrorists in intelligence-based operations across Punjab

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Counter Terrorism Department has arrested 20 alleged terrorists during multiple intelligence-based operations in different cities of Punjab.
A CTD spokesperson said the operations were conducted in Lahore, Faisalabad, Khanewal, Bahawalnagar, Rawalpindi, Chiniot, Mianwalai, Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Bahawalpur and Hafizabad.
The security officials arrested two terrorists from Lahore while a highly dangerous terrorist identified as Manmohan Singh was nabbed in Rawalpindi.
Some of the arrested terrorists have been identified as Saleh Raza, Muhammad Riaz, Abu Bakar, Bawal Khan, Muhammad Younis and Usman.
CTD has recovered three IEDs, 23 detonators, pamphlets, cash and mobile phones during the operations.
The spokesperson said 495 suspects were arrested in 2,231 combing operations conducted in the running week, adding that 87,565 people were also interrogated.
