Six people perish in Gujrat's long-standing rivalry
GUJRAT (Dunya News) – An old rivalry in Gujrat claimed the lives of six people.
The incident occurred in Miana Chak’s area of Gujrat where unidentified men sprayed the victim party with bullets.
After the incident, the rescue and police teams reached on the spot where it was identified that the ages of victims were around 25 to 35 years.
According to Gujrat Police, the deceased include: 30-year-old Zahid Nazim, 26-year-old Mubashir, 30-year-old Zunair, 33-year-old Javed Iqbal, 35-year-old Rukhsar and an unknown youth aged 26.
It was reported that due to long-standing enmity, unknown persons opened fire on the vehicle. Meanwhile, Investigation is underway as IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and sought a report from RPO Gujranwala.
IG Punjab also issued an order to DPO Gujrat to immediately arrest the accused involved in the firing.
DPO Gujrat says that senior police officers and forensic teams are present at the spot and evidence has also been collected.
