Cops claim the suspect killed in accomplices’ firing
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Police have claimed that a hardcore criminal wanted in dozens of cases of robbery, theft, abduction and rape of children has been taken out in the firing of his own accomplices during an exchange of fire between the outlaws and police, Dunya News reported here on Tuesday.
According to Kotwali Organised Crime Unit, police were taking the suspected outlaw identified as Zeeshan alias Shahni for recovery of weapons when his accomplices hiding roadside opened fire on the police to get their accomplice freed.
As a result of this shootout, the under custody outlaw was injured and died before being taken to hospital.
The suspect committed dozens of crimes in Lahore and Sheikhupura. He abducted children and subjected them to rape. Police said those opened fire on law enforcers escaped under the cover of darkness. A manhunt launched for the fleeing attackers.
