GOJRA (Dunya News) - A shootout occurred between the CCD Police and suspected criminals in the Mochiwala Road area, resulting in the arrest of one injured suspect, police officials confirmed on Tuesday.
According to police sources, the arrested suspect was identified as Muhammad Shakeel, son of Muhammad Rafiq, a resident of Chak No. 327 JB, District Toba Tek Singh.
The suspect was allegedly involved in supplying narcotics to students of educational institutions, making him a key target of the ongoing anti-drug operations in the region.
During the police operation, an exchange of gunfire took place, after which the suspect was apprehended in an injured condition. Law enforcement officials recovered 2,250 grams of charas, ice (crystal meth), and a pistol from his possession, indicating his involvement in organized drug distribution activities.

The injured suspect was immediately shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for medical treatment. Police stated that further investigation is underway to determine the network involved and identify possible accomplices.
