KARACHI (Web Desk) - The post-mortem examination of deceased businessman Mir Raza Ali was completed on Saturday after his body was exhumed from a graveyard near Tariq Road amid tight security.
A member of the medical board said various samples were collected from Ali's body during the examination and would be sent for chemical analysis. The body was later reburied after completion of all formalities.
Ali's father, Mir Hussain, told Geo News that he was satisfied with the exhumation proceedings. He expressed hope that the issues he alleged had occurred during the earlier post-mortem would not be repeated.
He also alleged that a fake audio clip purportedly featuring his son had been circulated in an attempt to undermine the case.
Ali, an IBA graduate, had returned home from his shop on the night of July 28 before leaving again, telling his family he would return within 10 minutes. Police later recovered his body from Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

His father has alleged that the young businessman was murdered and rejected speculation that he died by suicide.
The exhumation, originally scheduled for Friday, was delayed after Ali's family objected to the reconstitution of the medical board overseeing the procedure. The authorities later restored the original eight-member board comprising forensic and pathology experts.
The family and their lawyer Jibran Nasir were present during Saturday's proceedings, while a heavy police contingent was deployed at the graveyard.
Nasir had earlier objected to the overnight replacement of the medical board and alleged that repeated notifications regarding its composition had raised concerns for the family. He also alleged political interference in the case.
