Bar presidents described the inclusion of judges from smaller provinces as a positive development
KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Sindh High Court Bar Association and the Balochistan High Court Bar have welcomed the appointment of judges from other provinces to the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
In an official statement, Sindh High Court Bar Association President, Barrister Muhammad Sarfraz Ali Metlo, described the inclusion of judges from smaller provinces as a positive development. "This is a significant step towards reinforcing the federal character of the Islamabad High Court," he stated.
Similarly, Balochistan High Court Bar Association President, Attaullah Langau, also appreciated the move, emphasising that under the constitution, the President of Pakistan holds the authority to appoint and transfer judges.
