KALAT (Dunya News) - A levies personnel was martyred while two others sustained injuries in a terrorist attack on a checkpost in Kalat district of Balochistan on Sunday.
According to sources, the armed assailants fled from the scene after timely response of the forces.
A search operation was underway in the area to arrest the suspects.
The spokesperson of Balochistan government Shahid Rind said that the injured levies personnel were shifted to Quetta for medical treatment while investigation has been initiated.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the terrorist attack on levies checkpost in Kalat.
In a statement, the prime minster also prayed for the high ranks of martyred personnel.
The prime minister also paid rich tribute to martyred personnel Ali Nawaz and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
He said the terrorists are the enemies of the development and progress of Balochistan province and reiterated that terrorists’ nefarious designs will not be allowed to succeed.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti also condemned the attack and ordered an inquiry of the incident.
