RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Awam Pakistan Party head Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, accused politicians of breaking all principles in their pursuit of power.

Addressing a gathering in the twin cities, Abbasi lamented that governance cannot be sustained through constitutional violations and coercion. He asserted that Pakistan’s parliament no longer represents the people, claiming that two-thirds of its members have secured their seats through financial means rather than public mandate.

"It is unfortunate that such individuals are making decisions for the people," he remarked. "When elections are rigged, political instability is inevitable."

Abbasi stressed the need for systemic reform, stating that when politics revolves around imprisoning opponents, it ultimately harms the country. He urged those in power to acknowledge the struggles of ordinary citizens and called for collective efforts to improve national conditions.

Speaking at the inauguration of a new party office, Abbasi declared that this was just the beginning of a broader movement.

"Our party is committed to transforming the system," he said, adding that the public has lost faith in the three major political parties and is in search of a viable alternative.
