ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad Bar Association has fully endorsed the petition filed in the Supreme Court by five judges against the transfer of three judges.

Islamabad Bar President Naeem Gujar and Secretary Bar issued a statement condemning the transfer of judges without due process or a new oath.

They also criticised executive interference in judicial matters. The Islamabad Bar has demanded that the Supreme Court hear the petition and reverse the judges' transfers.

The petition under Article 184(3) challenged the unconstitutional transfer of judges, highlighting seniority disruptions caused by the move, threats to judicial independence, separation of powers, and constitutional supremacy. It also argued that the transfers violated Article 200, which addressed judges' transfers.

The Islamabad Bar Association has expressed solidarity with the five petitioning judges and vowed to defend the judiciary against unconstitutional interference.
