LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab Home Departmnet has released an updated list of proscribed organisations and charitable institutions.

According to the official notification, banned organisations included Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Sipah-e-Muhammad Pakistan, Jaish-e- Muhammad, Al-Rehmat Trust Bahawalpur, Al-Furqan Trust Karachi, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Sipah Sahaba Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Jaffaria Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi, Tehreek-eIslami, Al-Qaeda, and Millat-e-Islamia Pakistan.

Other blacklisted groups include Khuddam-ul-Islam, Islamic Tehreek Pakistan, Jamiat-ul-Ansar, Jamaat-ul-Furqan, Hizb-ut-Tahrir, Khair-un-Nas International Trust, Balochistan Libration Front, Islamic Students Movemnet of Pakistan, Lashkar-e-Islam, Ansar-ul-Islam, TTP, Bloch Republican army and several others.

The notification also names People’s Aman Committee Lyari, Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Al Harmain Foundation, Maaz Bin Jabal Educational Trust, Falah Insaniyat Foundation, Pak-Turk International CAG Education Foundation and various religious and militant groups as proscribed entities.

The Punjab Home Department has urged citizens not to donate to unregistered or banned charities, warning that aiding such organisations will lead to legal action under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.
