ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met Poland's Minister, Member of the Council of Ministers and Coordinator for Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak on Monday and discussed bilateral relations, trade, business ties and the regional situation.
The prime minister expressed satisfaction over positive developments in Pakistan-Poland relations, saying Pakistan wanted to transform the historic friendship between the two countries into a strong, long-term and multifaceted partnership.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed recent contacts between Pakistan and Poland. Shehbaz Sharif stressed the importance of high-level leadership exchanges to further promote bilateral relations.
The prime minister also emphasised the need to further expand links between the business communities of the two countries.
Shehbaz Sharif thanked Poland for its support for Pakistan regarding the European Union's GSP Plus scheme and expressed confidence that the two countries would further strengthen their relations in all areas.
The meeting also covered important regional and international issues, particularly the situation in the Middle East.
The prime minister stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to reduce regional tensions and resolve conflicts, while reaffirming Pakistan's commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.
