China’s 14-year-old Yin Ziyuan and Liu Ziyi delivered straight-game victories to seal the tie for the hosts, while Pakistan’s Sana Bahadar produced a commanding performance to claim the country’s only win.
Liu Ziyi defeated Mahnoor Ali 3-0, winning 11-4, 11-8, 11-2.
Pakistan levelled the tie through Sana Bahadar, who beat Zhang Yuning 3-0. Sana dominated the contest 11-7, 11-9, 11-2.
The deciding match saw 14-year-old Yin Ziyuan defeat Sehrish Ali 3-0.
Yin won the opening game 11-3, dropped the second 7-11, but recovered to take the third 11-3 and secure China’s 2-1 victory.
The result marked an important win for China in the women’s squash team competition as the round-robin stage continues in Nagoya.
