Summary In May, ahead of the competition, Domino's said it was prepared for the summer's biggest football tournament with a unique promotion
WASHINGTON (Web Desk) - American pizza chain Domino's has announced that it will distribute $1 million worth of free pizza to fans during the 2026 FIFA World Cup as part of a special promotional campaign.
The offer was triggered after United States forward Folarin Balogun received a red card during the team's match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, fulfilling the condition set by the company before the tournament.
In May, ahead of the competition, Domino's said it was prepared for the summer's biggest football tournament with a unique promotion.
Under the campaign, if any US national team player was shown a red card during a match, the company would offer fans a free "Emergency Pizza" to help soften the disappointment.
According to the company, the promotion will see more than 60,000 medium-sized pizzas distributed to eligible participants.

During the match, Balogun delivered an impressive performance for the United States, scoring a goal before being sent off with a red card in the second half.
Despite being reduced to 10 men, the US team held on to its lead and secured qualification for the next round.
The victory brought additional excitement for American fans, who are now eligible to claim the free pizza offer.
However, the promotion is only available to customers who registered on the company's website and joined its rewards program before June 10, prior to the start of the tournament.
Domino's said the "Emergency Pizza" campaign was designed to make major sporting events even more engaging by rewarding fans with a small surprise when unexpected moments occur during the competition.
