DUBAI (Dunya News) - United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and US President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation to discuss bilateral cooperation and the latest developments in the Middle East.
According to media reports, the two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen relations between the UAE and the United States in areas of mutual interest.
They also reviewed ongoing developments in the Middle East and efforts to address the rapidly changing situation in the region.
The phone call comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East following recent military exchanges between the United States and Iran.

Reports have emerged of Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting US facilities in the region following American strikes, while Gulf states have also increased their air-defence readiness.
Tensions between Washington and Tehran have also raised concerns over security in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf, with growing fears about potential disruptions to global energy supplies and their impact on oil prices.
Earlier, Iran’s military claimed that it had targeted US military assets at Kuwait’s Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base.
The reported targets included a US satellite communications system, equipment warehouses and aircraft hangars.
