DUBAI (Web Desk) – Pakistan suffered back-to-back defeats against New Zealand in the five-match T20I series as New Zealand chased down 92 in 10.1 overs at Christchurch and 136 in 13.1 overs at Dunedin. Those results contributed to pushing the Pakistan pair of Shadab Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi down the rankings.
Shadab went down 10 places, from 72nd to 82nd in his first two international appearances since the 2024 T20 World Cup. This is his lowest ranking since his fourth T20I, against West Indies in April 2017 – a steep drop for the former No.1-ranked bowler in this format.
Shaheen Shah Afridi, meanwhile, went down six spots, from 23rd to 29th. Fast bowler Haris Rauf, meanwhile, rose by four spots to 26th after his 2-20 in the second T20I.
