Cold and dry weather to prevail across country: PMD

According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly cold and dry weather in most plain areas of the country during the next 24 hours.
However, partly cloudy weather with light rain and light snow is expected at the isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.
According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country.
During the last 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country, while very cold in hilly areas. Light rain/light snowfall occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan.
Leh remained the coldest place in the country on Wednesday where temperature fell up to -9 degrees Celsius.
