PTI rejects PM Shehbaz's offer to resume talks

PM's statement does not align with PTI’s demands
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has responded to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's offer to form a parliamentary committee for talks.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar stated that the charges against the government are extensive, making the PM's offer unacceptable. He added that the statement does not align with PTI’s demands, which include the release of detained members and the formation of a judicial commission on two key incidents.
Meanwhile, PTI leader Shibli Faraz criticised the proposal, saying that a house committee is not a credible solution, as people trust commissions more.
He asserted that if the government was serious about negotiations, a committee would have been formed by now.
Faraz emphasised that PTI agreed to negotiations to resolve the ongoing political instability in the country but stressed that the government must show sincerity to finalise the process.
