PTI dissolved its committee over govt's failure to fulfill demand for judicial commission
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has decided to retain the negotiation committees formed between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the government.
Although both PTI and the government had previously dissolved their respective committees, the National Assembly Secretariat has not yet officially de-notified them.
According to the National Assembly spokesperson, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has directed that the negotiation committees remain intact.
It is worth noting that the committees were initially established to facilitate talks between the government and PTI. However, PTI withdrew from the negotiations after the government failed to announce a judicial commission to investigate the incidents of May 9 and November 26.
