Mehr Bano among eight PTI workers released in Multan

MULTAN (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and daughter of PTI vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Mehr Bano Qureshi, and eight other PTI workers have been released from jail, Dunya News reported here on Saturday.
Mehr Bano Qureshi was presented before a special magistrate, who granted her bail. Makhdoom Rasheed police had arrested the PTI leader for her alleged involvement in blocking a road and throwing stones at police.
Police had registered a case against Mehr Bano and other PTI workers.
According to an earlier report, police said that Ms Qureshi was arrested along with several other PTI workers for violating the Section 144.
Besides, the Multan police also arrested former PTI leader Makhdoom Javed Hashmi's son-in-law Zahid Bahar Hashmi and PTI Multan ticket-holder Dilair Mahar for participating in the protest called by the party to observe black day on Feb 8.
