Implementation of Kohat Peace Accord continues in Kurram district

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The implementation of the Kohat Peace Accord is progressing in Kurram District, with authorities dismantling more bunkers in conflict-prone areas.
According to the district administration, an additional five bunkers in Balish Khel and Khar Kali (Lower Kurram) have been destroyed using explosives. So far, a total of 98 bunkers have been demolished in the region.
Authorities reported that 48 large bunkers were blown up with explosives, while 50 smaller bunkers — previously used in conflicts — were removed using heavy machinery. Additionally, a 1,725-foot-long trench has also been blocked.
The district administration confirmed that more than 120 bunkers belonging to rival factions have been dismantled across the district as part of the ongoing peace efforts.
