JCP meeting convened for LHC judges' appointments

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) is set to convene tomorrow to deliberate on appointment of additional judges to the Lahore High Court (LHC).
The meeting will be chaired by the Chief Justice Yahya Afridi.
During the session, the commission will review the names of eight session judges under consideration for elevation to the LHC.
The nominees include Raja Ghazanfar Ali, Qaiser Nazir Butt, Akmal Khan and Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh.
The commission will also consider Jazila Aslam, Tariq Mehmood Bajwa, Shahida Saeed and Akbar Gul Khan for the appointments.
