DC Kalat confirmed attack was suicide bombing
KALAT (Dunya News) - A security forces vehicle was targeted in an attack on a major highway in Balochistan’s Kalat district, resulting in the martyrdom of one soldier and injuries to four others.
According to sources, the Wing Commander remained unharmed in the explosion, while Naik Ataullah embraced martyrdom. Soldier Wakeel and other personnel sustained injuries in the attack, which took place in the Mughalzai area.
Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the area, and the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Kalat confirmed the nature of the attack, stating that it was a suicide bombing as per the initial reports.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the martyred FC personnel, Attaullah, expressing heartfelt condolences to his family. He directed authorities to ensure the best medical care for the four injured soldiers.
Acknowledging the sacrifices of the Frontier Corps, Naqvi stated, “We honor the FC’s unwavering dedication to maintaining peace in Balochistan. Their sacrifices are unforgettable.”
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti also strongly condemned the suicide attack, affirming that such cowardly acts could never shake the province's peace and stability.
He emphasized that the security forces' sacrifices were for the protection of the people and the region’s peace.
“We salute their bravery – the blood of our martyrs will not go in vain. Every citizen of Balochistan owes a debt to their sacrifice,” Bugti said.
