Peshawar University's journalism department to be named after Arshad Sharif

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has directed the renaming of the department
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The journalism department at Peshawar University will be renamed in honor of the journalist Arshad Sharif.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Higher Education, Meena Khan Afridi, stated that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has directed the renaming of the department.
He further added that work on implementing the decision will commence soon.
Senior journalist and anchorperson Arshad Sharif, was reportedly shot to death by Kenyan Police along the Nairobi-Magadi highway on Sunday in “mistaken identity case”.
According to Kenyan media, the journalist was fatally shot in the head by cops after allegedly violating a roadblock established to keep an eye on motor vehicles using the route.
