KHUZDAR (Dunya News) – Two police officials, including a lady constable, were martyred when miscreants opened fire at a police party in Khuzdar, a city in Balochistan province, on Sunday, Dunya News reported.
According to a police spokesperson, the incident took place in Khuzdar’s sub-tehsil Baghbana where a police team conducted a raid following a complaint about the theft of solar panels. During the operation, armed militants opened fire, triggering a heavy exchange.
Police confirmed that Head Constable Samiullah and Lady Constable Malik Naz were martyred in the attack while Additional SHO Ibrahim Sheikh and Constable Najeeb Ullah were critically wounded.
The dead and injured police officials were shifted to Civil Hospital Khuzdar. Meanwhile, police have cordoned off the area after the incident and launched a search operation to arrest the culprits.
