ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Former Indian army officer Colonel (retd) Shailendra Singh has claimed that India seeks to use Afghan territory to pursue its objectives against Pakistan.
Speaking during a programme, Singh alleged that India wants Pakistan’s military to remain focused on the Pak-Afghan border and engaged with militant groups, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to Singh, the Narendra Modi government’s strategy is to support groups such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in Balochistan.
He further claimed that India is using Afghan territory and the Taliban regime to pursue its objectives against Pakistan.
The statements were presented as evidence of alleged Indian efforts to keep Pakistan’s military engaged with militant groups and security challenges along its western frontier.
