(Web Desk) – Hundreds of supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party, a satirical social media movement in India, have gathered in New Delhi after weeks of grabbing news headlines.

The party, a play on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Hindu-nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has attracted millions of online followers and widespread support among young Indians.

Student-led demonstrations voiced anger over irregularities in the education system and examination processes.

Quoting Al Jazeera, large gatherings were reported at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar area, where members of a ‘Gen Z movement’ staged protests against the government, drawing attention to concerns over education reforms, exam transparency, and rising student distress.

Protesters criticised systemic failures in India’s academic structure and raised slogans against authorities, demanding accountability and reforms in the examination system. Participants also called for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, blaming him for worsening conditions in the sector.

Students accused the system of contributing to increased academic pressure and mental health challenges, including rising cases of student suicides linked to exam stress.

The protests also reflected broader dissatisfaction among youth over repeated examination controversies, which demonstrators say have undermined trust in the education system.

Protesters said that continuous exam scandals had further fueled the anger of millions of students.

According to global experts, India's current poor education system is playing with the future of the young generation. The protests of Indian youth have become a challenge to all the failed policies of the Modi government
