ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Twenty-seven FIA personnel have been arrested, 48 sacked and two sent on forced retirement in an action against human traffickers and their facilitators, Dunya News reported here on Tuesday.

The action was taken against the FIA employees of Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Quetta zones. In another raid, FIA Gujranwala tracked down two alleged fugitive human traffickers.

The suspects identified as Nasir Mahmood and Adnan Ali have been arrested from Sialkot and Sarai Alamgir.

Suspect Nasir Mahmood got Rs2.7 million from a citizen on the promise of sending him to Greece.
In another raid, police arrested a member of Chinioti Group, raising the total number of the arrested suspects to eight.

They had received Rs 40 million from 34 people on the pretext of sending them Europe.
