LAHORE (Dunya News) - The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Lahore Circle raided an illegal call centre allegedly involved in international fraud and arrested nine suspects.

According to an NCCIA spokesperson, the suspects allegedly posed as representatives of a telecommunications company to defraud British citizens. Five laptops and 10 mobile phones were recovered during the raid.

The spokesperson said the suspects were using autodialer, VoIP and Webex software in the alleged fraud. A case has been registered against the suspects, and further investigation is underway.

NCCIA Director General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said Pakistan would not be allowed to be used for international cyber fraud. He said those defrauding people abroad were bringing a bad name to the country and urged citizens to report such activities immediately.
