Summary Pakistan rejects India’s claims over Pahalgam incident, urges global community to ensure responsible behavior and prevent escalation in the region.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan has strongly rejected India’s attempts to link Pakistan with the Pahalgam incident, calling the allegations "baseless."

A spokesperson said that at a time when Pakistan is working with international partners to promote regional and global peace, India’s propaganda campaign is regrettable.

In an official statement, the Foreign Office said India is promoting a false narrative for domestic political purposes despite ongoing regional tensions. It added that following a strong response last year during Operation Bunyan al-Marsous, India is again attempting to divert attention through allegations.

The statement emphasized that such tactics cannot distract the international community from India’s actions in Jammu and Kashmir, including denying the right to self-determination, which it said violates United Nations resolutions.

It further said India’s provocative rhetoric, aggressive posture, and unilateral steps—such as suspending the Indus Waters Treaty—are undermining regional peace.

The spokesperson urged the international community to press India to act responsibly and avoid measures that could harm regional and global stability.
