CM Maryam launches 'Assan Karobar Programme' to boost youth entrepreneurship

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the Assan Karobar Programme, encouraging the youth to contribute to the country’s progress rather than engage in protests.
Speaking at the loan distribution ceremony, she announced that the programme would provide interest-free loans ranging from Rs1 million to Rs30 million, repayable in easy installments over three years.
She noted improvements in economic stability, highlighting that inflation had dropped from 38% to below 4%.
Additionally, she emphasized Punjab’s affordable flour and roti prices while unveiling plans to distribute free plots and Rs10,000 per household to low-income families during Ramazan.
Criticising the previous government for economic mismanagement, she urged the youth to support national development.
She also announced upcoming initiatives, including laptops for students and housing schemes, reaffirming her commitment to Punjab’s progress.
