ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani has arrived in Islamabad on a two-day official visit to Pakistan on Wednesday.
Upon arrival at the airport, he was received by Secretary Economic Affairs Division Muhammad Humair Karim and Additional Secretary (Middle East) Zahid Hussain.
The visit of the foreign minister of Bahrain reflects the close, cordial and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Bahrain and underscores the shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
He is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, arrived in Islamabad today on an official visit to Pakistan from 7–8 October 2026. He was received at the airport by Secretary EAD Muhammad Humair Karim and Additional Secretary (Middle East) Zahid Hussain. During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar and Foreign Minister Al Zayani will co-chair the 3rd Session of the Pakistan–Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC), according to a Foreign Office statement.
The two sides will review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation across diverse areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, economic cooperation, defence and security, labour and manpower, and cultural exchanges.
The two sides will also exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual interest and cooperation at multilateral forums.
Pakistan and Bahrain enjoy close, brotherly relations founded on shared faith, common values, mutual respect, and longstanding people-to-people links.
The two countries maintain regular high-level exchanges and close cooperation across a wide range of areas.
