TEL AVIV (Dunya News) - Knesset has approved a new military budget, significantly increasing funding for security and defense amid ongoing regional tensions.

According to international media reports, the approved budget includes an additional 32 billion shekels for security purposes. Of this, 6 billion shekels have been allocated for reserve forces, while 5 billion shekels are designated for the rehabilitation of areas near Gaza Strip.

Reports indicate that reserve soldiers had already received 20 billion shekels prior to this new allocation.

Meanwhile, Israeli citizens have expressed concerns over rising taxes, stating that despite paying heavily, they still do not feel safe even in their homes.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the government is committed to providing full resources to the military and security institutions. He also assured that relief would be given to the public through adjustments in tax slabs.
