ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – On the letter of Ministry of Human Rights, Islamabad police have launched a departmental inquiry against Secretariat SHO Ashfaq Warraich for allegedly using inappropriate words in giving warning to kite-flyers and their fathers, Dunya News reported here on Wednesday.

It has been reported that the SHO has been chargesheeted and an inquiry against the police officer has been launched.

Ministry of Human Rights had written a letter to the capital police high-ups, drawing their attention to a viral clip in which the SHO could be seen announcing that the kite-flyers and their fathers would be punished with shoes in the middle of the road and their houses would be demolished.

The video made rounds on social media and garnered backlash and criticism from the public.

Islamabad police decided to crack down on kite-flyers and makers.

MAID NABBED

Police claimed to have arrested a maid who fled after torturing a three-month baby.

The maid was on the run after allegedly looting jewelry worth over Rs 0.25 million and torturing a three-month-old baby.

CCTV footage circulating online shows the suspect, Saima, placing a piece of cloth over the baby’s mouth and physically assaulting the infant.

According to police sources, CCTV footage played a crucial role in exposing the crime.

A case was registered immediately after Matloob Zafar filed a complaint against the accused.
