Search operation launched to hunt the perpetrators
KARAK (Dunya News) – Two policemen embraced martyrdom and six sustained bullet injuries when terrorists opened fire on their checkpost, Dunya News reported here on Wednesday.
Those martyred in the gun attack were identified as Adnan and Nakeeb. According to DPO, militants equipped with sophisticated weapons attacked the checkpost and fled after retaliatory fire from the police.
The injured were admitted to district headquarters hospital from where two of them were referred to Peshawar for being critical.
The DPO said a search operation was launched to track down the militants.
Police have stepped up security in the area and enhanced patrolling to ensure law and order, with the commitment to arrest the perpetrators at the earliest.
